RULES OF PLAY
- Seven Card Stud Poker is a variation of poker which utilizes three down and four up cards.
A minimum of two players and a maximum of eight players may participate at each Seven Card Stud table.
- The cards are shuffled, cut and dealt by the house Dealer, who shall not take part in the play of the game.
- One bet and three raises shall be allowed in each round. NOTE: A check and a raise is permissible.
- All players who elect to receive cards will be required to place an ante. The rule gov-erning the placement of an Ante shall be posted on a sign at each Seven Card Stud table.
- The Dealer shall deal the cards, one at a time, starting with the player to the left of the Dealer button and will continue to deal in a clockwise direction until all eligible players have received their first two cards face down and their third card face up. NOTE: The House Dealer will not receive any cards.
- There are five betting rounds:
- Once each player has received three cards as stated above, the first betting round shall commence as follows:
- The player with the low up card shall be required to make a bet.
- For purposes of this subsection only, in the event two or more cards are of the same rank, the cards shall then be ranked by suit with the lowest to highest suit as follows: Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades.
- Following the placement of the forced bet as stated above, proceeding in a clockwise rotation from the player who placed the forced bet, subsequent players may also fold, call, complete or raise the bet. After the last player has responded to the most recent wager, the betting round shall be considered completed.
Upon completion of the first betting round, the Dealer shall burn the top card of the deck and then, starting to their left, deal a fourth card face up to each eligible player. The next betting round shall commence as follows:
- The player with the highest hand showing shall be required to bet or check.
If two or more hands are of equal ranking, the player closest to the left of the Dealer button/puck shall be required to bet or check.
- Proceeding in a clockwise rotation, subsequent players may fold, call or raise, if the preceding players have not made a bet, they can check. Each player may check until a bet has been made. Once a bet has been made, the next player in a clockwise rotation may fold, call or raise. After the last player has responded to the most recent bet, the betting round shall be considered completed.
- The Dealer shall then continue to deal two rounds of cards face-up and a round of cards face down to each remaining player. Each dealing round will be followed by a betting round as described above. Prior to each round of cards being dealt, the Dealer shall burn the top card of the deck.
- If after all bets are acted upon in the final betting round, more than one player remains, pursuant to the rankings set forth below, a show down shall determine who shall be awarded the pot (split infinitive).
- Each player remaining in the game as stated above, shall form a five card hand from the seven cards dealt which shall constitute the hand of that player at the showdown.
- The winner shall be the player with the highest ranking five card hand.
- The house takes a rake of 10% or a session fee, up to a limit that is displayed on each table.
Must be 19 years of age or older.
