Omaha Poker
Rules of Play
- Texas Hold'Em Poker is a variation of poker which utilizes five common/community cards in conjunction with each player's own two cards.
- Omaha Poker is a variation of poker which utilizes three of the five common/community cards in conjunction with two of the player's own four cards.
- There are four betting rounds with a maximum of three raises allowed in each round.
- A minimum of two players and a maximum of ten players may participate at each Omaha Poker table.
- Omaha Poker shall be played to determine a winning high hand only.
- The cards are shuffled, cut and dealt by the house Dealer, who shall not take part in the play of the game.
- The order in which the cards shall be dealt and the order in which the players shall be required to have the option to bet shall be determined as followed: a flat disk called the "button" or "puck" (sometimes called "Dealer Button/Puck") shall be used to indicate an imaginary Dealer. At commencement of the game, the Dealer puck shall be placed with the player to the right of the Dealer and shall rotate around the table in a clockwise manner with each round of play.
- The Dealer shall deal four cards face down, in a clockwise rotation, one at a time to each player. The player to the immediate left of the Dealer button/puck (Small Blind) shall be the first to receive a card, and the player with the Dealer button/puck shall be the last to receive a card.
- The initial betting shall begin with the player to the immediate left of the button making a small blind bet, and the player next to them making a big blind bet.
- Blind Amounts, 5–10 Players:
- Small Blind: $2.50
- Big Blind: $5.00
- Blind Amounts, 10–20 Players:
- Small Blind: $5.00
- Big Blind: $10.00
- Following the placement of the blind bets, the subsequent players in a clockwise rotation may fold, call or raise the bet. The option to raise the bet shall also apply to the players who made the blind bets. After the last player has responded to the most recent bet, the betting round shall be considered completed.
- The Dealer shall then burn the top card of the deck and proceed to deal three community cards from the deck and turn them face upward in the centre of the table.
- The subsequent betting round shall resume with the option to bet or check reverting to the first active player clockwise from the button who has not folded. Players may then either fold, call, raise the bet, make an opening bet, or check if preceding players have not made a bet. The betting round shall be considered complete when each player has either folded or called, in response to the most recent bet.
- At the completion of the betting round above, the Dealer shall again burn the top card and deal an additional card face up to the community cards already dealt.
- The next betting round shall commence and be completed in the same fashion as described above.
- Following the completion of that betting round, the Dealer shall again burn the top card of the deck and deal the fifth, and final, card face up to the community cards already dealt.
- The final betting round shall commence and be completed as described above.
